Diego Vera is a native of Murcia.

He began to work as a journalist when he was 17 in the newspaper Línea de Murcia, where he became editor-in-chief and acting director.

Precisely one of his first reports was related to the bulls, since it consisted of an interview with a very young José Mari Manzanares father - when he was still an incipient novillero.

From a very early age, he took over the bullfighting information in the media, an activity that he made compatible with the bullfighting correspondence of Agencia Efe, in which he continues and with which he also collaborates in other journalistic plots.

In recent years he has collaborated in El Capote, the publication published in Murcia on the occasion of the Taurine Fair in September.

He was for many years a bullfighting critic of Hoja del Lunes in Murcia and other media.

For several years he directed and presented the Chiqueros program at the Regional Center of TVE in Murcia.

For several years now, he has been the presenter of the awards ceremony for the El Quite Association of Calasparra, and regularly participates in the various activities held throughout the year by clubs and clubs in the region.

Until last March, he was the Press Chief of the University, a position in which he ceased to retire after almost 34 years of service.

He has a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and a degree in Law, Geography and History, Art History and Political Science and Administration from the University of Murcia.
