Inaugurated the XXIV Conference on Cultural Heritage of the Region of Murcia (09/10/2018)

The Minister of Tourism and Culture, Miriam Guardiola, today opened next to the rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Alejandro Díaz, the 'XXIV Conference of Cultural Heritage of the Region of Murcia', which are recovered after five years and are a forum open to reflection, debate and exchange of ideas and experiences among all those who, in one way or another, are involved in the recovery, conservation and enhancement of the cultural heritage of the Region.

Numerous specialists, researchers and professionals will address during the four days scheduled (on 9, 16, 23 and 30 October) different aspects around the criteria, methodology, analysis and intervention on the different assets.

Likewise, successful cases will be presented and the difficulties encountered will be analyzed, in order to tackle them in future actions.

These days, which were recovered in the European Year of Cultural Heritage, aim to motivate the scientific debate and bring the wealth of the Region closer to the citizens.

It also shows the intense work done by professionals for their study, documentation and to ensure their conservation and recovery in what has long been a firm commitment of the regional government.

The conference, which will be held in Cartagena, Yecla, Blanca and Murcia, will address the rich heritage of the Region, since not only will talk about the historical, architectural or archaeological heritage, but also gastronomic heritage, documentary, sound, film, textile and immaterial.
