Blanca hosts the Sicarm new technology fair from this Thursday until Sunday (21/03/2019)

The new technology fair Sicarm, organized by the Integra Foundation, will be installed in Blanca from today, Thursday, until next Sunday with nine workshops and practical demonstrations adapted for all audiences.

The mayor of Blanca, Ester Hortelano, visited with the general director of Information Technology, Heritage and Telecommunications, Juan José Almela, the facilities located in the Pavilion of the Municipal Sports Center.

The novelty of this 19th edition of the exhibition is a 'Smart Home' installation, which combines artificial intelligence and home automation to create an intelligent home.

Visitors can experience how lighting or appliances are controlled only with the use of the voice.

Another novelty is a workshop on digital sounds, in which participants learn to make musical instruments with silhouettes of cardboard, sensors, electronic boards and LEDs.

They can also make objects with 3D printers, create a hologram, try the latest audiovisual techniques or experience virtual and augmented reality, with the science fiction game 'Heritage Heroes'.

The exhibition is completed with educational activities aimed at children and adolescents on the safe and responsible use of the Internet, to teach them how to surf the web safely and avoid the dangers and pitfalls that can be found on social networks.

The stands will be installed in the Polideportivo Municipal de Blanca and will open from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm on Thursday and Friday, from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday.

All workshops for educational centers are reserved on Thursday and Friday morning, and in the afternoons, in addition to Saturday and Sunday, they will be open to the general public.

All activities are free and among the attendees will be drawn a 'Robotron', a programmable robot that fires missiles, dances, speaks three languages ​​and has an 'app' incorporated to learn robotics.

There is also a draw for a Google Home assistant, a 3D pencil and bluetooth headphones.

Sicarm is an itinerant exhibition organized by the Integra Foundation since 2001 with the co-financing of the European Funds for Regional Development (Feder) to publicize the latest technological advances and make them available to all inhabitants of the Region of Murcia.
