The writer Elvira Navarro will be this Thursday in 'Rio de Letras' (15/10/2019)

The writer and narrator, Elvira Navarro, will be the next protagonist of the Literary Cycle 'Rio de Letras' which is celebrated this Thursday, October 17, at the Pedro Cano Foundation (20: 30H).

Navarro will present his latest book, La Isla de los Conejos.

Free entrance, until capacity is completed.

The writer was included in 2010 in the list of the 22 best Spanish-language narrators under 35 years of Granta magazine.

In 2013, one of the Spanish voices with the greatest future was chosen by the magazine El Cultural, and in 2014 the same magazine selected her work, The Worker, among the ten best Spanish novels of the year.

She was editor of the Trojan Horse seal in 2015, and teaches writing workshops.

His work has been partially translated into English, French, Swedish, Italian, Turkish and Arabic.

In his book he tells us how a false inventor takes rabbits to an island to end the nests of birds whose name nobody knows.

In the night penumbra, a species extinct thousands of years ago comes to an archduke.

The dreams of hotel guests are subject to a strange and involuntary theft.

A mother's ghost opens a Facebook account and asks her daughter for friendship.

A couple about to break wanders through an inhospitable shelter.

On the outskirts of the city a stretch of avenue disappears.

In these eleven stories there are fabulous transformations that are not experienced by the characters as a liberation, but with fear, and there is a decantation towards the fantastic and psychological terror.

A secret element prevails, because the genre itself works, as Piglia noted, with a visible story and a hidden story that not only draws the enigma of the text, but also the reasons that have led the author to write these stories.

All of them pass through places that make Elvira Navarro's literary universe recognizable: the outskirts of the cities and oneself, precariousness, identity and dark nights of the soul.

Elvira will offer a colloquium with Roberto López Herrero;

writer, screenwriter, actor, director and broadcaster of Spanish television and radio programs.
