The Community will tender in April the works to improve the access road to Blanca from the A-30 motorway (10/03/2017)

The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Pedro Rivera, met this morning with the mayor of Blanca, Esther Hortelano, which reported that the General Directorate of Roads has drafted a project to repair the route RM-553, which connects the core Urban development of Blanca with the A-30 (Cartagena-Albacete), "with the aim of improving road safety" and that it is planned that these works will be put out to tender next month.

The work will consist of repairing the sinkings and blandones detected, as well as the damages caused by the landslides on this road, and the reinforcement of the entire road, which will solve the existing unevenness that makes driving difficult, especially when These are heavy vehicles.

Rivera said that "with these works we solve a compromise that we acquired with the residents of Blanca, since this road, which has an area of ​​more than 5.5 kilometers, is very busy and supports 1.3 million vehicles at Year, of which 51,500 are trucks.

The planned investment is 132,000 euros and works will include repair of the firm, repair of slopes and renovation of horizontal and vertical signage.

Regeneration of urban areas

On the other hand, the head of Development explained to the mayor of the town that the Housing Plan 2017 provides aid of 11.3 million euros so that municipalities can request the regeneration of urban areas and housing rehabilitation (ARRU) in their municipalities.

Thus, the city councils delimit the space in which they intend to carry out urban regeneration and then apply for their declaration as a Regeneration and Urban Renewal Area, so that grants can be granted, including works in housing such as improvements in foundations, façades, Coverage, accessibility and sanitation;

And works of urbanization, regeneration of green areas, arrangement of streets and improvement of common services, among other actions.

Rivera emphasized that this program "will benefit more than 3,000 families during this year and will generate jobs related to construction in the areas where it is developed."

The Ministry is planning to execute ARRU in some twenty municipalities during 2017.
