Culture program in Blanca the work of the artist Manuel Páez within the Exhibition Space Plan (14/12/2017)

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment program in Blanca a new sample of the Exhibition Space Plan with the work of Manuel Páez, which opens tomorrow Friday, December 15, at 20:00 hours, in the Lower Room of the MUCAB .

'Banquets and Amazons' can be seen until January 8, 2018.

This exhibition brings together a composition of current works of the artist and others made in recent years, as well as some of his preparatory sketches, along with several sculptures presented for the first time with this initiative launched by the regional government.

Their works maintain their own entity unitarily, although in them there are conceptual and thematic elements in common.

Manuel Páez's project has also been shown within the Exhibition Space Plan in the municipal rooms of Calasparra and Moratalla, and until January 14 a selection of his work can be seen in the collective exhibition that houses the Sala Verónicas de Murcia, together to the rest of the pieces of the 58 artists that participated in this cultural initiative throughout the year.

The Director General of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, said that "the success of this first edition of the Exhibition Plan led us to work on the new call for 2018 that is already open to the presentation of new projects and the participation of the municipalities to achieve that common goal that we share from the regional government and the local administration to bring culture closer and connect with citizens at any point in the region.

He added that during the month of December "we will keep eleven samples open together with two others that can be visited in the month of January and with which we will close a year of exhibitions throughout the Region of Murcia".


Manuel Páez (Calasparra) has a degree in Fine Arts.

Sculptor and painter, he has belonged for more than 15 years to the Val i 30 Valencia gallery, with which he has made numerous exhibitions and participated in art fairs such as ARCO and Art Madrid among others.

From 2009 to 2015 he was an associate professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Murcia.

He has received different artistic scholarships and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in cities and municipalities of the national territory.

In addition, he has been selected in various competitions in the field of plastic arts.
