White is committed to the environment.
After the opening of the underground containers last week, Mayor White today, Rafael Carrasco Laorden received at the hands of Francisco José Espejo García, general director of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control, a collection vehicle rear-loading compactor for the collection municipal solid waste.
The vehicle in question is valued at 135,571 euros and is financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
The new tanker truck will collect municipal waste deposited in the more than 120 containers installed in the town and buried in 39 islets.
With this initiative, the Council aims, as its Mayor, to keep the city clean, making it a more people friendly environment.
Besides releasing a tanker truck, the city council last week opened underground containers may be disposed of Blanca where organic waste and packaging, while glass and paper are still collecting their regular contenders.
This initiative together with the project 'White Green', a public service bicycle hire, which is already underway, "shows, such as expressed by José M ª Molina, Councillor for the Environment-a commitment from White to respect and care its environment and its natural beauty. "
