A blanqueño to the'World Guinnes' Record Dragon Boat (29/10/2015)

The paddler's White Canoe Club, Francisco Javier Martínez, will participate with the Spanish Federation Dragon Boat to beat the Guinness World Record for 24 hours straight row in this type of boat.

To beat the current record, held by the Australian team 'Komodo Dragons', should exceed 186 Spaniards, 54 kilometers through a closed circuit 6 KM, so it will be necessary to give more than 38 laps.

The competition takes place in the town of Murcia Lo Pagan, on Saturday October 31 and will be broadcast live over the Internet via "streaming" all the way.

The tour, which will stop only 10 minutes every four hours to eat and change clothes, there will be different Guinness Record judges.

In addition, a sports psychologist, several doctors and physiotherapists, will be in a support boat and accompany the Dragon Boat at all times.

The initiative came from the team 'Dragon Boat Pinatar' San Pedro del Pinatar although the selection of participants was carried out at national level, from the Spanish Federation Dragon Boat, where you have chosen 22 paddlers Murcia, Seville and Asturias .

Francisco Javier Martinez carries 11 years doing this deportation as a member of the White Canoe Club where he began competing in Kayak.

There he competed with the team of Cartagena winning two silver medals at distances of 2000 meters and 200 meters and a bronze medal at the distance of 500 meters.
