White expresses his love for the book (23/04/2010)

The act of reading the manifesto of Villa del Libro has had the presence of two hundred students from schools and the institute, who have enjoyed cultural activities in which they recounted their experience with circus acrobatics, poetry reading and storytelling

In addition, during the celebration of World Book Day, the kids at school La Milagrosa have learned to read by touch, thanks to the Braille workshop

The literature continues to shine in our people, culture makes its way through the corners and the book becomes a key element.

The book is always present: in cafes, in the park, bars, libraries, schools, or in the market.

The book goes to meet the inhabitants of this town that is becoming more Villa del Libro "emphasized Laorden Rafael Carrasco, mayor of the town, in the act of reading the manifesto of Blanca, Villa del Libro that throughout this week in particular, pays homage to the literature, although, according to the mayor: "throughout the years develop activities around the book."

The day of celebration of World Book Day began reading stories to children in day care and a Braille reading workshop was developed with the students of Colegio La Milagrosa, who were on the skin of a blind and learned to read through this system of touch reading.

The workshop was taught by members of the ONCE Foundation to teach the students how to read by six points in relief.

The celebration of the book followed in the church square where socio-cultural activities developed with 197 school students, Antonio Molina and La Milagrosa, and secondary school, Valle del Segura.

Among others, were carried out puppets, theater, circus acrobatics, poetry reading and storytelling.

Following these activities, there was the reading of the manifesto in which White said "be a people devoted to literature, being a municipality be read and Villa del Libro" as professed in the manifesto read by the Councillor for Culture, Mercedes Candel Ortega, along with teachers of schools and the institute.

At night, the music presented his special tribute to the book with a concert performed by the vocal and guitar duo that make up the soprano Patricia abaranero Data and guitarist Antonio Hernandez, who performed songs and arias by Luys of Mylan, Schubert, Caccini and Handel, as well as popular songs by Federico Garcia Lorca, a jewel of Spanish culture.

During the weekend activities continue with an open day at the library, a gymkhana and a charity market.
