The neighborhood of the White Station dresses up to honor its patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar, with some festivities celebrated from October 4 to 13.
The councilor of Festejos, Paula Cano, and the mayor of Barrio, Ernesto Ortega, presented this morning, next to the Queens of the Fiestas, the program that will kick off tomorrow, Friday, with the reading of the proclamation in charge of Jesus Molina
"A very dear neighbor at the Blanca Station. Known as 'Chuchi', he has always been involved in the organization of the parties in a selfless way and this is our tribute" as highlighted by the mayor of Festejos, Paula Cano.
After the proclamation, which will be at 10 pm, the presentation and coronation of the Queens of the Fiestas will take place, as well as the imposition of bands to the Court of Bridesmaids.
On Saturday 5, the VIII Encierro-Loose of Beef is celebrated from 12 noon and on Sunday 6 will take place one of the central events of the Fiestas, the traditional pilgrimage of the Virgen del Pilar where the patron is transferred to the Source del Javé, at 10 in the morning.
Various activities will be held throughout the week such as a pottery workshop, a tourist route to the Sierra de la Pila forest park, a cooking workshop taught by Chef Adrián Novas, an exhibition by Body Factory Gym Lucía García and attractions of Fair for all children.
In addition, there will be events with a great draft in the whitish neighborhood such as the gachasmigas contest (Thursday 10, 22 hours), the cane and tapa route (day 11, 13 hours) and the tasting of a giant paella (day 12, 14 hours).
The festivities will end on Sunday the 13th with the parade of floats and parades that will begin at 16.30.
In the evening, the concert of Fran Botía, finalist of the program 'A tu vera' will take place.
