The Council of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Holy Week in Blanca has appointed the teacher and head of studies of the La Milagrosa School, María del Pilar Cano Ruiz, preacher of the Holy Week of Blanca 2020.
María del Pilar Cano Ruiz, born in Blanca and a teacher at the Colegio de la Milagrosa in our town since 2002, will read the proclamation on Saturday, March 28, at an event that will host the Church of San Juan Evangelista de Blanca at 8:00 p.m. .
Likewise, the Cabildo has chosen as Cofrade the Year to Jesus Cano Melgarejo, a very active person and linked to the Easter week in Blanqueña since his childhood.
In the words of María del Pilar Cano Ruiz, from Holy Week in Blanca, I would highlight the illusion and delivery of the different brotherhoods, the recollection and respect for the passage of our patron saint the Blessed Virgin of Sorrows on the night of Good Friday and joy of the meeting in the Church Square on Easter Sunday.
For me, the main thing is that the new generations of brotherhoods keep alive the passion for Holy Week of our people, in this way, not only will it last, but it will grow year after year.
In addition, I consider it very interesting, that initiatives aimed at children are promoted, so that while instilling in them the love for Holy Week in Blanca, they feel protagonists of the traditions of the municipality.
