During the days 6, 13 and 20 March was played in the Corner restaurant Beniaján Huertano Chess Championship by age, in the Region of Murcia.

The blanqueño Carlos Molina Ortega, seven-year-old has been champion in the U8 category, with six wins, winning every game and a brilliant game at times.

This is the second consecutive year that gets to be Regional Chess Champion in the Under-8 category, and will represent the Region in the National Championship held in the city of Salobreña in June
