The general director of Citizen Security and Emergencies, José Ramón Carrasco, today highlighted the "support that the Community provides to the 45 municipalities through the Regional Citizen Security Plan, which implies a budget effort estimated at 18 million euros annually."
In the case of Blanca, the Community pays the cost of 10 of the 17 staff members of the Local Police, with a budget of 300,000 euros per year.
The director general met with the mayor of Blanca, Ester Hortelano, who transferred the needs of his municipality in matters of Local Police and Civil Protection, after which visited the premises of the Local Police of the municipality, opened in March last year And financed by the Community.
Likewise, José Ramón Carrasco visited the headquarters of the Civil Protection Volunteer Association of Valle de Ricote, which groups volunteers from the municipalities of Blanca, Ricote, Ulea, Ojós and Villanueva del Río Segura.
For Carrasco it is "a magnificent example of cooperation between neighboring municipalities and the use of resources by localities with little population."
