White City Council, through its Department of Environment, organized a program of activities aimed at students from Schools of White, to commemorate the World Environment Day, celebrated on 5 June.
Students of Antonio Molina CP and the College of La Milagrosa Blanca, participated in various activities where they could learn about the flora of the municipality through the aromatic plants and where they learned to recycle.
The first activity was a trip to the Parque de las Cuevas Blanca where you know the characteristics of the rosemary plant, learned to cut the plant to grow again and attended a lecture.
An employee of the Environment of the City of White was asked to give the school the talk in which he explained how to care for the Environment and in which containers to deposit each type of debris.
After this tour and this talk, the students visited the Centre on Water and Light.
Next to this museum on the banks of the River Segura, the students were given a cut-sheet to learn how to locate each residue in its corresponding container.
José María Molina Trigueros, Councillor of Environment, Agriculture and Industry, attended the activities organized by the council and accompanied the children in learning to respect the environment.
